These are the set of commandments every designer on Crowdstudio is expected to follow. Treat them as holy, because they apply not only to CrowdStudio, but to every stage of your design career.
You’ve probably heard the line - "Good designers copy, great designers steal." We beg to differ. There is a difference between copying and getting inspired. Ask yourself if it’s worth your reputation, because finding a copycat is almost too easy (thank you, Internet).
Yes, it’s that important! We have zero tolerance for those who do this and they will get themselves banned permanently.
That designer probably spent hours of effort on their design. Stealing their work is hurtful, disrespectful and Absolutely. Not. Okay.
Treat this process as though you were interacting with a flesh-and-blood client. Posting inappropriate comments on the contest page reflects poorly on our platform, our community, and ultimately on you.
No one likes to work in a bad environment. We want to maintain a friendly and open atmosphere on this platform, so please refrain from abusing anyone. Friendliness = productivity.
Not on Facebook, Twitter or anywhere else. Use the 'Report' option to notify us and we'll take care of it.
There is a difference between copying and inspiration. Do not report a design until you are absolutely sure that it's a copyright violation.
Let your design do the talking.
It can be frustrating to spend all that effort and get rejected. But please understand that the client may have their own reasons and look on the bright side - every design you create becomes a part of your portfolio. With each design, you’re just getting better and better!
This platform is about more than making extra cash. You’ll find a great community of talented designers with different skills. Some are college students. Some are full-time freelancers. Others work in an office during the day and freelance by night. But no matter who or where we are, we support each other because we want to learn and grow.
